The Mauritius Chamber of Commerce and Industry wishes to appoint a dynamic and self-motivated person to fill the following position:

Communications Assistant

Your Main Responsibilities will be to:

• Assisting in the development and execution of communication plans and strategies.

• Creating and editing content for various communication channels.
• Assisting with the creation and dissemination of communication materials such as releases, newsletters, social media posts, and website content.
• Monitor analytics and create reports detailing the successes and failures of communications campaigns and strategies.
• Coordinating and scheduling meetings, events, and press conferences.
• Responding to inquiries and requests for information from external stakeholders.
• Maintaining and updating contact lists and databases.
• Conducting research and gathering information to support communication efforts.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to support promotional events.
• Providing general administrative support to the communications department, such as scheduling meetings, and filing documents.
• Perform other job-related duties as required.

Requirements:

• Degree in Communication or any related field.
• At least 2 - 3 years of experience in a similar position.

Skills and other requisites:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and French.
• Be able to work after office hours and on weekends and public holidays.
• Attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office tools.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well in a team.
• Proactive, able work under pressure and willing to learn and accept feedback.
