The Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Consumer Protection will soon introduce the Consumer Protection (Safety Requirements) Regulations 2015, which will provide for new safety standards for all domestic and electrical household appliances.

In this context, the MCCI is organizing an information session to inform its Members on the provisions of the new regulations and the procedures that will apply for complying with the new standards. The Mauritius Standards Bureau (MSB) and the MRA Customs have been invited to make a presentation on the new compliance procedures and clearing formalities.

The Information Session will be held on Thursday 24 September 2015 at 10.00 hrs in the Conference Room of the MCCI, 3 Royal Street, Port Louis.
