To mark the World Environment Day 2023, the Ministry of Environment, Solid Waste Management and Climate Change, in collaboration with various stakeholders, is organizing the Environmental Awards 2023.

This Award will recognize and reward efforts of institutions in taking sustainability measures and best environmental initiatives. In this context, the Ministry of Environment, Solid Waste Management and Climate Change is inviting institutions wishing to take part and compete for this award to apply in their respective field of activities as indicated in the following sectors:

1. Textile manufacturing industry

2. Food manufacturing industry

3. Supermarkets/hypermarkets

4. Media

5. Non-Governmental organizations

6. Waste and resource management

7. Banking/ finance sector

8. Tourism industry

9. Local authorities

10. Public sector

11. Best environmental initiatives in educational institutions 

The Application form and Guidelines for participation in each sector can be downloaded here.

The duly filled in application form together with all relevant documents must be submitted by email as indicated in the respective sectoral Guidelines, by Tuesday 2 May 2023 at 16 00 hrs at latest.

Winners and runners-up of the Environmental Awards in each category will be announced and awarded during an award ceremony scheduled for 5 June 2023.
