The Trade Promotion Council of India is organising a webinar on CECPA this Thursday, 1st July 2021 at 1500 hrs IST (13:30 local time). The theme is ‘India-Mauritius Comprehensive Economic Cooperation and Partnership Agreement – Opportunities and Implications’.

In view of the recent Comprehensive Economic Cooperation and Partnership Agreement (CECPA) signed between India and Mauritius on 22 February 2021, this session aims to shed light on the opportunities and implications arising for India.

The agreement which came into effect on 1st April’ 2021 covers Trade in Goods, Rules of Origin, Trade in Services, Technical Barriers to Trade (TBT), Sanitary and Phytosanitary (SPS) measures, Dispute Settlement, Movement of Natural Persons, Telecom, Financial services, Customs Procedures and Cooperation in other Areas.

This is a first trade agreement India has signed with an African country, thus opening unexplored spaces for the nation. The esteemed panelists from different domains will discuss their perspective on India-Mauritius relations post the agreement.
