Business updates

The 170th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the MCCI was held today, Thursday 28th March 2019, at the Labourdonnais Waterfront Hotel, Caudan, Port-Louis.

The President, Mr. Marday Venkatasamy, delivered a speech on the State of the Economy. Hon. Nandcoomar Bodha, GCSK, Minister of Public Infrastructure and Land Transport and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Regional Integration and International Trade, and Hon. Soomilduth Bholah, Minister of Business, Enterprise and Cooperatives, also addressed members on this occasion.

New council members were also elected. Mr. Marday Venkatasamy GOSK, CSK, from Filao Ltée (Industry Group), will serve as President for the year 2019/2020 and Mr. Guillaume Hugnin, from Panagora Marketing Ltd. (Commerce) will serve the Council as Vice-President.
