On Monday 17 February 2025, the Mauritius Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) hosted an executive lunch, gathering for the first time executive leaders of local Chambers of Commerce at its office.

Dr. Drishtysingh Ramdenee, Secretary General of the MCCI, and the MCCI management team met with high-level representatives of eight business associations in Mauritius : Mr. Pascal Fok Kow, President of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce (CCC), Mr. Michel Moreau, Executive Director & Co-Founder of the Belgian Mauritian Business Club in Mauritius & CBL-ACP Official Representative in Mauritius , Mr. Seshadri Jayasankar, Representative of the Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC), Mr. Ravin Lama, President of the American Chamber of Commerce in Mauritius (AMCHAM), Mr. Graeme Robertson, President of the Australian Chamber of Commerce (AustCham), Mr. Amaury Halgand, Director General of the Chambre de Commerce et d'Industrie France Maurice (CCIFM), Mr. Somnath Adhya, Vice-President of the Indian Business Council (IBC) and Mr. David Koon Kam King, President of the Chinese Business Chamber (CBC).

Discussions were held on potential partnerships to drive business growth in Mauritius.

Key avenues for investment were identified, along with the opportunity to strengthen Mauritius' position as a strategic business hub in the Indian Ocean region.

Furthermore, the meeting explored how members of the aforementioned associations can leverage on collaborative opportunities, with a focus on enhancing distribution channels to foster stronger business connections.
