Business updates

The Mauritius Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) welcomed His Excellency (H.E.) Mr. Raimundo Robredo Rubio, Ambassador of Spain to South Africa, Madagascar, Comoros, Lesotho and Mauritius, during a courtesy visit on October 22, 2024.

The delegation met with key MCCI officials, including, Mr. Charles Harel, President, Dr. Drishtysingh Ramdenee, Secretary General, and Mrs. Rooma Narrainen, Head of Advocacy.

The Spanish delegation included Ms. Elena Moreno González-Paramo, Counsellor of the Embassy of Spain in South Africa, and Ms. Ana Menendes, Trade and Economic Counsellor from Kenya.

The discussions focused on enhancing trade and investment opportunities between Spain and Mauritius.

Both parties explored the role of the MCCI Business School in providing Spanish language training to facilitate business connections.

The possibility for the MCCI to collaborate with the Spanish Chamber of Commerce was also discussed.

During the cordial exchange, various initiatives were discussed to create concrete business opportunities between the two countries.

H.E. Mr. Raimundo Robredo Rubio concluded his visit by signing the MCCI visitor's book.
