Reopening Phase Two: Guidelines for Supermarkets, Shops, Hypermarkets and Superettes

Following a meeting held on the 26th of April with the Ministry of Commerce and Consumer Protection, the following shopping guidelines, applicable as from the 1st of May 2021 with respect to supermarkets, superettes, hypermarkets and shops, have been decided:
- Work Access Permits (WAP) will not be required
- Alphabetical order will no longer be applied in supermarkets
- Supermarkets will be allowed to open on Sundays and Public Holidays with no restriction on opening hours
- All sanitary measures in place are to be maintained including control at entrance and temperature check
- A single line shopping is to be maintained in supermarkets, hypermarkets, superettes and shops
- A maximum of 30 minutes for shopping is to be maintained in supermarkets, hypermarkets, superettes and shops wherever applicable
