GS1 Global Office has a new section on its website: Public Policy.
This section is targeted at policy makers - governments officials, NGOs, trade associations and consumer organisations. The goal is to make it easier for policy makers to find GS1 information, understand GS1 and most importantly to show them how GS1 activities are relevant to the problems they are trying to solve.
Six policy priorities, both from a sector and regional view, are covered:
• Consumer Safety
• Traceability
• Trade Facilitation
• E-commerce
• Patient Safety
• Quality Data
