MCCI has held a consultative meeting with representatives of several supermarkets today 15 May 2020 in the context of the Budget.
The objective of the meeting was to have a consensus between the representatives of supermarkets on the minimum shelf space to be allocated to local products in the supermarkets. The feasibility, the implication and challenges and the process flow of such a measure was thoroughly discussed.
The meeting was chaired by Dr. Yousouf Ismael, Secretary General of the MCCI, and also saw the participation of Mr. Bruno Dubarry, CEO of Association of Mauritian Manufacturers.
