Business updates

Importers and manufacturers of non-biodegradable plastic containers are informed that the introduction of the excise levy of Rs 2.00 / Unit on plastic containers which was initially scheduled to come into operation on 1^st February 2019 has been postponed and will now be implemented on 2^nd May 2019.

Non-biodegradable plastic containers include cups, trays, take-aways, plates, and bowls, amongst others.
