The MCCI Arbitration and Mediation Center (MARC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Africa Union of Architects (AUA).

The MoU was officially signed on Monday 5 March 2018 by Mr. Raju Jaddoo, Secretary-General of the MCCI, Mr. Kaisi Kalambo, President of the AUA and Mr. Vinesh Chintaram, AUA representative.

A delegation of the AUA from different countries of Africa also attended the event, which was held at the seat of MCCI in Port Louis. The objective of the MoU is to formalise a working relationship between MARC and AUA for the provision of an institutional arbitration and mediation framework - based on the MARC Rules of Arbitration and Mediation -  for the resolution of construction disputes in Africa through a jointly operated platform called the Africa Construction Industry Arbitration Center (ACIAC).
