The Government of India launched its eCoO 2.0 platform offering several new and user-friendly features aimed at streamlining the certificate of origin application process for Indian exporters.
Some key features of the platform include:
i. Multi-User Access: Exporters can assign multiple users or applicants linked to a single Importer Exporter Code (IEC).
ii. E-Signature Options: Support for digital signature tokens and the Aadhaar-based e-signing system.
iii. Integrated Dashboard: A unified platform offering access to eCoO and associated services, including Free Trade Agreement (FTA) details, trade events, and more.
iv. Cost Sheet Digitisation: Improved digital tools making the preparation and submission of cost sheets more efficient.
The electronic filing of Non-Preferential Certificates of Origin (CoO) on the eCoO 2.0 Platform is mandatory as from 1st January 2025.
Applicants of Preferential Certificates of Origin may also begin using the system as from 17 January 2025.
