Further to the Budget 2019/2020, the Bus Modernisation Scheme, has been amended to cater for electric buses. In this respect, bus operators holding road service licences for the purchase of buses will be eligible for the subsidy to purchase a bus either to implement a new road service license or to replace a bus under an existing licence and be exempt from the payment of VAT on such buses.
