Business updates

The MCCI met with operators from various sectors on 11 March 2020 to discuss about the impact of Covid-19 on business activities. The meeting included operators from the manufacturing, commerce, logistics and other services sectors.

Members had the opportunity to put forward issues relating to the impact of Covid 19 such as the supply of goods, delays in ports, trade and employment issues as well as support measures that could help businesses. The issues raised by Members will be submitted to Government for discussions on the appropriate measures to support businesses.

Furthermore, the MCCI has initiated a number of actions to assess the impact of Covid-19 on business activities. A survey has been launched among Members to assess the impact of Covid-19 on various aspects of business including supply chain, logistics financial implications and issues faced in import and export markets.
