The Regional Multidisciplinary Centre of Excellence (RMCE) is collaborating with the World Bank in addressing the Covid-19 pandemic, starting in Comoros, Madagascar, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Réunion, Seychelles and Zambia.
The objective is to promote regional cooperation and a regional approach to building solutions for both the private and public sector in their response to Covid-19.
The aim is to collect data from suppliers to build a database of Covid-19 medical supplies. This will enable Business to Business connection between demand and supply and eventually, feed into wider procurement portals from international organisations.
Suppliers and buyers of medical supplies, personal protective equipment (PPE) and Covid-19 testing kits are encouraged to register online via the following links:
(i) Supplier Registration Form: https://tradeanalytics.app/regional-response-covid-19-suppliers-form
(ii) Buyer Registration Form: https://tradeanalytics.app/regional-response-covid-19-buyers-form
As per the project deliverables, in June 2020, relevant participants (suppliers and buyers) would be identified to organize future virtual ‘matchmaking’ events for each topic areas (peer learning and support, PPE, testing) connecting potential supply and demand from member countries, as well as creating a virtual platform for follow up discussion and matchmaking.
