Business updates

The Chairperson of the ICC World Chambers Federation, Mr. Peter Mihok, paid a courtesy call on the Ag. President of the Republic of Mauritius, H.E. Mr. Barlen Vyapoory, at the State House, yesterday, 29th August 2018. He was accompanied by the Honorary Consul of the Slovak Republic, Mr. Yatemani Gujadhur, the President and the Officer-in-Charge of the MCCI, Mr. Marday Venkatasamy and Mr. Barlen Pillay, respectively.

Discussions focused on the importance of Chambers of Commerce as the advocate and representative of businesses for the country's economic development. Mr. Peter Mihok, as the President of the Slovakia Chamber of Commerce and Industry, also underlined the different avenues of cooperation that can be explored between the Slovak Republic and Mauritius. 

As a non-political, non-governmental body, the World Chambers Federation is the backbone of the chamber community providing a platform for chamber leaders to communicate and collaborate with each other on matters of mutual interest and facilitating beneficial partnerships.
