The MCCI, in collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), has launched a call for applications for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) to join "Xport Accelerator", a capacity-building programme aimed at improving the export readiness of selected SMEs and their integration into the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).

This programme is designed for SMEs, including women-led businesses and young entrepreneurs and will help them build their competencies to export to the African continent.

The selected SMEs will benefit from the following:

• Business mentoring and coaching to support export activities
• A three-day capacity-building programme aimed at enhancing export capabilities, including insights on international trade agreements, rules of origin, export marketing strategy, digital marketing tools as well as export procedures and documentation.
• A grant to support their capacity building needs
