In view of strengthening the Arab-Africa cooperation, two representatives of the Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa (BADEA) apprised Mauritian operators of their specific services available for the private sector during a meeting held at the seat of the MCCI, today, Wednesday 7 December 2016.
BADEA was created for the purpose of strengthening economic, financial and technical cooperation between the Arab and African regions.
Dr. Hesabelrasoul Abbas Elbashir, Chief, Trade Finance and Private Sector Division of the institution, accompanied by Mr. Wadi Abdurahim Yousuf, Principal Engineering Expert, delivered a presentation by underlining the critical role of the private sector in the socio-economic development of a country. In this context, the BADEA has introduced a new window of operations dedicated for the promotion and development of the private sector in Africa.
He also spoke about the lending and eligibility criteria that a private sector project must possess to be able to beneficiate from the loans of BADEA.
