Certificates of Origin
A Certificate of Origin is an international trade document attesting the origin of goods that are in a particular export shipment. There are 2 types of Certificates of Origin:
- Preferential Certificate of Origin refer to Certificates of Origin which enable products to enjoy tariff reduction or exemption when they are exported to countries extending these privileges: e.g. SADC, COMESA, Mauritius-Turkey FTA.
- Non-Preferential Certificates of Origin, i.e. “ordinary Certificates of Origin” which certify that the country of origin of a particular product does not qualify for any preferential treatment.

8. Any other documents that may be required
