Both members
and non-members can obtain from the Chamber advice
on a wide range of matters relating to trade and industry,
for instance clearing of goods, setting-up of businesses,
legal and regulatory framework and customs procedures.

The Chamber is represented on nearly 40 different boards,
committees and councils, including:
¨ the Joint Economic Council (JEC)
¨ the Mauritius Employers' Federation (MEF)
¨ the
Enterprise Mauritius
¨ the Board of Investment (BOI)
¨ the Mauritius Ports Authority (MPA)
¨ the Mauritius Freeport Authority (MFA).
¨ the Mauritius Standards Bureau (MSB)
¨ the Small and Medium Industries Development Organization
(SMIDO)
¨ the Export Processing Zones Development Authority (EPZDA)
Furthermore, the Chamber is regularly consulted on an ad hoc
basis by the public authorities on a host of matters including
budgetary and monetary policy, fiscal incentives and tax harmonisation,
competition policy and regional cooperation.
